Elementary Student Tutoring

Our children need to have a sound education in the basic subjects. Reading, writing and mathematics are a necessity for our children to be able to survive in our society. I have worked with students from first grade level to graduating seniors and the results are the same: success.

Public education is wonderful, but it is not able to fill in the gaps of all students. These gaps stop our children from grasping the larger concepts that they will be expected to understand. I am working with students to fill in the gaps of their education.

I have experience with working with reading and writing, using curriculum such as Phonics and Getting Ideas. I have found that students with gaps in their reading have gaps in their math. I work with both of these subjects to get results that they are not able to get on their own. My students have improved. Not only am I literate in the latest concepts of teaching and learning, but am able to provide students a one to one teacher student ratio.

Students, especially the younger ones, need the one on one relationship. It is proven that students will learn better when they are given the attention that one on one teaching provides. Students will not be lost in the cracks, and can be monitored and assessed without the added pressure of keeping up with other students. Parents are allowed to watch and monitor their students while they are being tutored and are kept up to speed with their students' learning. This is the advantage that tutors, especially private tutors can provide.
