About Washington Tutoring
As a Secondary Education teacher, I have the knowledge and experience to teach teenagers as well as elementary age students. Some of the greatest insights come from working with students as they reach their potential of learning.
History has always been a favorite of mine; I loved the stories and experiences that those who came before us left in books, buildings, and in the lives that they lived. Since Arizona’s department of Education has mandated History a required subject and expects Arizona’s students to learn history to become more civic minded, there is always a need for help with students learning. These students will learn to be the next generation of civilly responsible Americans through their learning of history. I am proud to be a part of that learning process.
I majored and graduated with a degree in History Education from Arizona State University. I was taught the latest in teaching strategies and technology to help reach the wide spectrum of learners. I have taught at Gila River Community School and Queen Creek High school and worked for the Huntington Learning Center.
I ran a successful tutoring company in Queen Creek, Arizona for two years before moving to Shoreline, Washington. These experiences have helped me with students in elementary, middle school, and high school.
